Shannon B. Christensen, 70, Pocatello resident, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at a local hospital following an illness. She was born March 12, 1936, in Montpelier, Idaho, the daughter of Ralph L. and Blanch Prescott Bissegger.

She attended Montpelier High School and graduated from Pocatello High School and later worked for many years as a waitress in Pocatello. She married Carl Christensen March 26, 1954 in Pocatello, Idaho. She enjoyed spending time with her family and serving as an Avon lady for about 30 years.

Surviving her are her two sons, Jack (Tami), Boise and Steve Christensen, Pocatello; two grandsons, Josh and Brian; a brother, Tom Obray (Char), Pocatello, and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Scott Christensen, and her dear longtime companion, Ray Henderson. 
No public services are presently scheduled. Initial arrangements are being handled by Downard Hansen Funeral Home.
