Raymond Stucki - Class of 1960

Raymond J. Stucki passed away in his sleep Feb. 12, 2012 at his home in Sequim, Wash. at the age of 70. Born and raised in Montpelier. He was the oldest child born to Charles and LaRue Stucki.

Ray proudly served in the US Navy where he saw the world on the USS Yellowstone. He moved to Green River, Wyo. with his wife, Anita, to raise their family. He worked his way up to become a respected underground trona mine forman at OCI. Upon retiring they moved to Sequim for new adventures. He enjoyed sailing, gardening, spending time and laughing with his loved ones. Handy and able to fix just about anything, he loved woodwork, restoring furniture and other projects that he worked on with and for his wife. He was friendly and outgoing, always quick with a joke or story to tell.

Ray is survived by his loving family; wife, Anita, children, Nena Stucki, Rae Jean (Stucki) Holtkamp, her husband, Hank Holtkamp and one grandson, Jonathan. His surviving siblings, Rulon Stucki and his wife, Sara, Carol Chadwick and her husband, Bob, and Cammy Devenport and her husband, Dave. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling, Gayle Stucki.

Ray will be remembered by all who loved him as generous, wise, and loving. He will be greatly missed.
