Idaho State Journal, 11/28/10

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Fay Arthur Clayton, 77, 1934-2010, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the loving care of his wife. He was born September 27, 1934, in Nampa, Idaho, to William Arthur Clayton and Iris Petersen Clayton.

He attended and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1952. He married Kathleen Driggers, December 22, 1953. They were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Jordan River Temple, August 23, 2008.

Art served his country honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Army. He received a Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam. He began a second career in the aviation industry in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he retired and remained for the last 40 years.

Art spent much of his leisure time with his family and friends sailing, hunting and fishing. In his later years, he and his grandson, Danny, were arguably the best University of Utah and Jazz fans in West Valley City, Utah. He was adept at most anything he tried including carpentry, gardening and cooking. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Art is survived by his wife, Kathleen Driggers Clayton; two children, Pamela (Clayton) Wallis and Dale Arthur Clayton; six grandchildren, Danny, Rachael, David, Becca, Jessika, and Lindsey; five great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Harbor, Jason, Tannon and Colton; and his sister Linda Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Iris Clayton.
