Norene Williams (Dimick) - Class of 1952

Norene Dimick, 70, of Nampa, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at a local care center. Norene was born on July 7, 1934 in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Loren and Beatrice (Allemen) Williams. She was raised and educated in the Soda Springs area and graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1952. She attended Idaho State University, where she graduated with her Nursing Certificate in 1954.

On Jan. 9, 1956, Norene married Andre Dimick in Bear Lake. They settled in Nampa in 1962 where Andre owned and operated Andre's Beauty Salon. Norene worked as a nurse at the Old Mercy Medical Center for 17 years. Then Norene worked for Doctor Saltzer for 14 years and for Doctor Hay for 3 years. In 1992, she retired and became a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center.

Norene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed watching all sports and never missed her son's games.

Norene is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Booth, Nampa; son, Russ (Nikki) Dimick, Nampa; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous cousins.

Her husband and parents preceded Norene in Death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel of Remembrance (404 10th Avenue South Nampa, ID 83651 ~ 466-3545). Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
