Larry Wilcox - Class of 1952

Larry O. Wilcox, 61, died Tuesday, October 22, 1996 at Valley Hospital in Palmer, Alaska of heart failure.  He was born November 3, 1934 at Conda, Idaho to Oneal and LaReva Wilcox.  He moved to Georgetown upon the death of his father in a hunting accident.  He lived there until 1974 when he moved to Alaska to help build the haul road for the pipeline.  He worked there for 20 years.  He built a house and moved his family in 1985.  He recently retired two years ago.  He was an active member of the LDS Church and at the time of his death was serving as secretary of the High Priest Group.  He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and improving things around the house.  He and his wife celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in June.  He will be remembered for his determination to get things done and his endless energy.  He is survived by his wife Nedra Arnell Wilcox of Wasilla, Alaska, a daughter and three grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Saturday in Wasilla.  Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 29 in the Georgetown Cemetery.
