Shirley was born on September 19, 1934, in Bern Idaho, to Edwin Leonard Alleman and Vera Humphries Alleman. She was one of 6 children. She met the love of her life, James E. Midgley, and they married. Although they couldn't have any children of their own they adopted three sons, David Alleman Midgley (who preceded her in death), Kenneth Alleman Midgley, Paul Alleman Midgley and one daughter, Pamela Alleman Midgley. She loved her life and her family. She was a wonderful wife and mother. Even when she was stricken with cancer she still loved to spend time with her family. Raising her children was what she wanted to do. She was active in church. She went on a mission. she succumbed to cancer on December 1,1974 at home with her husband at her side. Her husband was devasted to lose the love of his life. He kept her memory alive for the children. We miss her very much but know she is with Jesus looking down on us and smiling over us.
