Faye Passey (Wilcox) - Class of 1952

Faye Passey Wilcox passed away peacefully at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital on November 16, 2013. She was born April 2, 1934 to Newell B. Passey and Mary Olive Smith in Lanark Idaho. She was the seventh of eleven children. She attended school all of her days in Georgetown with the exception of her two final years where she attended and graduated from Montpelier High School.

She met and later married the love of her life, Elmer Smith Wilcox, on June 22, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on March 10, 1966. With this union of 59 years came three wonderful children; Suzann (Damron) Parrish, Doug (Brooke) Wilcox and Gaylene (Corey) Hopkins.

Faye had numerous callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints right up to the time of her passing. She also loved picking raspberries and took pride in the fact that she was the best picker in any patch. She supplied her entire family with cookies, cakes, fudge and other goodies, and she always seemed happy to do so.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cross work puzzles, scrap booking and especially enjoyed taking daily walks with her friends. Faye enjoyed many years of helping Elmer in their body shop. In fact she could do everything but spray the paint. Faye lived for and loved all her grandchildren. She has eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and has one on the way.

Faye is proceeded in death by her husband, her parents, sister Linda, brothers Harold and Roy, and son in law Craig Roberts.

Funeral services were held in the Georgetown LDS Church November 21, 2013.

Internment was in the Georgetown City Cemetery.
