Verla was a busy body as a homemaker and was always working on some kind of a project. She was most comfortable in the home serving her family. Verla was a talented seamstress and was well-known for her cooking and baking skills. She was never intimidated to sew or cook something new.
Verla worked for several years as a secretary for the Idaho State Health Department and then for the Bear Lake Memorial Nursing Facility. She enjoyed being outdoors and spending time camping and gathering firewood. She loved the many adventurous trips on the back of a Goldwing motorcycle with Rodney and their friends.
Verla was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a lifelong member of the Bear Lake Community. She lived a life of service to her family and all who know her. As a family, we are grateful and blessed for her Christlike example of unconditional love and service.
