In Memory

Ruth Tueller (Tabor) - Class of 1966

Ruth was born November 14, 1947 in Montpelier, Idaho to parents Violet Bischoff and Melvin Harold Tueller. She passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. Ruth, mom, or affectionately known as G-ma to some of her grandchildren, grew up on what she recalls as a picturesque farm in Geneva, Idaho to a loving and faithful family. Some of her fondest childhood memories were feeding the baby lambs from a bottle and riding in a one-horse carriage with her father to church assignments.

Ruth attended Utah State University, graduating with a degree in nursing. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She honorably served one of the first Health Science missions for the Church in Guatemala. It was here where she learned to speak the Spanish language and fell in love with the Guatemalan people.

Ruth met and fell in love with Charles Strahm Tabor and on November 1,1974 they were married in the Logan Utah temple. Ruth worked as a surgical Registered Nurse for over 33 years. She was a loving wife, sister, daughter, mom, and grandma. However, above all else, she was a devoted disciple to our Lord, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She will be remembered lovingly and will never be forgotten.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Chuck Tabor), parents, Melvin and Violet Tueller, son, Russell Tabor, sister, Lois Bienz, and her dearest friend, Kristine Clay. She is survived by her children, Benjamin Tabor, Nicole Rubio Tabor, Carolyn Southwick, 8 grandchildren, her brother, Gordon Tueller, and sister, Charlene Stone.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 2024, 6:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3261 Village Parkway, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 5:30pm.
