Rulon Booth - Class of 1952

Sun Village, Surprise, AZ. Born November 12, 1934 in Bear Lake County, Idaho to Mosiah and Elva King Booth, he completed schooling in Bear Lake County while living on a small farm. Beginning his career at Hill AFB, Utah in 1952 as a mechanic, he held many positions over 36 years retiring as a Logistics Manager with the Air Force in support of Aircraft and Missile Systems in 1988 and continued as a logistics consultant to defense contractors. He served his beloved country with honor in the U.S. Army in Korea Jan 1957-1958. He later became a Newspaper Reporter for the Wester, and developed a new skill as a Master Locksmith. His interest in community and support of military activities continued as Arizona State Treasurer of the Air Force Association, two terms on the Sun Village Architectural Board, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, USAF Officers Club, Elks, Eagles, and many more. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Booth and three children, Kevin LaVine, Sherma (Steve) Miles and Dana (Rick) Herdt and five grandchildren - Jake and Jessi Miles, Trevor Reeves, Kassandra and Jada Herdt and his beloved mini dachshunds, Brandee and Bandit. Graveside services to be held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix, Arizona on Monday, March 24th at 10:30am in Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a sharing of memories in Sun Village, at the Links Banquet Room, 14300 W Bell Road, Surprise,
