Michael Walling - Class of 1963

Michael Foy Walling, 79, of Grayson County, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2025, after bravely battling health complications to which he ultimately succumbed. He was born on July 24, 1945, in Orange, Texas, to Foy Edwin Walling and Amann Killion Walling.

Mike was a devoted father and is survived by his five children: Melissa Rae McGee, Jason Michael Walling, Cydney Elizabeth White, Curtis Daniel Walling, and Addison Olivia Walling. He is also survived by his sister, Marcia Ann Miller. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike obtained his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Management and Operations, and subsequently attended the University of North Texas and achieved his masters degree in Management Accounting. Mike then began his career in healthcare consulting and quickly became known for his sharp strategic mind and natural ability to inspire those around him.

Mike was a trailblazer whose career spanned over 5 decades, marked by innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Rising through the ranks with determination and grace, he held key leadership roles in multiple esteemed organizations, leaving an indelible mark on every company he touched.

Mike honorably served his country as a proud veteran of the United States Army. A celebration of life will be held in Palestine, Texas at a later date to be announced. Michael's legacy of strength, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
