Marilyn Bartschi (Uharriet) - Class of 1953 VIEW PROFILE

Marilyn Bartschi Uharriet, 87, beloved wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother, died of causes incident to old age on September 28, 2023, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. Marilyn was born in Montpelier, Idaho, on October 15, 1935, the fourth child of Wilford and Lillie Bartschi. She was an honors student and graduated at the top of her class from Montpelier High School in 1953. After attending BYU for a time, she moved to Los Angeles, California and studied at Santa Monica City College, where she excelled at administrative skills, including typing and stenography. She later went to work for RCA in Los Angeles, where she met the love of her life, Raymond Uharriet, and introduced him to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They were married in Los Angeles, CA, in 1959 and later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple. Marilyn was a lifelong, faithful, and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graciously accepted any and every calling to serve in the Church, including as pianist, organist, chorister, ward Relief Society president, and counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency. She shared her musical gifts during her life with everyone and performed in many capacities beyond her church callings. She had four children whom she loved very much. Bart Raymond (Sheila Holmes), James Robert (Melissa), John Russel (Pamela), and Jennifer Uharriet. Her beloved grandchildren are Jacqueline Shea Uharriet, John Luke Uharriet, Emily Claire Uharriet, John Thomas Uharriet, and Sara Nicole Uharriet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, and her four siblings, Russel, Barbara, Audrey, and Lois. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Oct 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the mortuary from 11:30 to 12:45 p.m. prior to services.
