Lois May Aland Eborn passed away at her home on September 17th 2025. It was a fitting tribute that she passed away on Dad's birthday. She was born on the 28th of April 1935 and was raised in Montpelier by her parents Albert Smith Aland and Anna May Winn.
She graduated from Montpelier High School. On November 30th 1953, she married the love of her life Byron Eborn in the Salt Lake Temple. She was employed by Kings, Montpelier police department, Safeway, Dr Daines, First Security Bank and later Wells Fargo Bank. She served on the board of the Senior Citizens Center and on the Montpelier Planning and Zoning.
After she retired, she served as the secretary for the board of the Oregon Trail Center and also worked in the gift shop. One of her joys in later life was being a member of the Daughters of the Utah pioneers where she served in many offices. She is survived by Doug Eborn (Kandi), Lynda Eborn, Jerri Dunkley, and Debbie Clapp (Tom).
She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Barbara Neeley, Susan Bauman, and brother John Aland. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Jo Aland, Lindell Aland, and Karen Aland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Gordon, Richard, Robert, Shawn, Shane and sister Shirley. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law Michael Dunkley and grandsons Nathanael Dunkley and Tyrel Anderson.
There will be a grave side service on Saturday September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Montpelier Cemetery.
