Janet Stock was born on December 27, 1948. She was raised in Montpelier, Bear Lake County, Idaho. Jan is the second of three children born to June and Wells C. Stock. She attended school in Montpelier, graduating from Montpelier High School in 1967. She married Claude E. Grant. Jan was very artistic and loved playing the piano and organ. She started playing the organ for the Primary organization when she was about 12 years old. She always had a love of music. Scrapbooking and crocheting became favorite hobbies. She was an immaculate housekeeper. She taught school for many years in the Las Vegas area. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Jan cared for her elderly Mother for many years. Jan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many callings in the different organizations. She passed away from cancer on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in New Harmony, Utah. She was survived by her husband; three children, Randy (Janis), Kimberly (Donavon) and Nathan; and granddaugher, Irelyn. Janet's service was held at noon, Saturday June 27, 2009 at the New Harmony, Utah Chapel.
