DeWayne Roy Dimick, 88, of Montpelier, Idaho, passed away peacefully at his home on May 31st, 2025, surrounded by his family. DeWayne was born September 2, 1936, to Virgil & LaVay Dimick. He graduated from Montpelier High School, the class of 1955.
DeWayne married his first wife Linnea Johnson & together they had three children. They were later divorced. He then married his wife and companion of 49 years Marilyn Sue. Together they raised their combined six children: Steven (Cherie) Dimick, Larry (April) Dimick, Dale Dimick, Jymme (Ron) Manchester, Jon (Melina) Negus, and Jill Sorensen.
DeWayne worked the majority of his life as a delivery driver for Wonder Bread. All the while he was faithfully supporting his family and home, he travelled miles and miles, in all manner of road conditions, delivering fresh bakery goods between Grace, Idaho and Garden City, Utah. Everywhere he delivered, people loved his friendliness and sense of humor. He made many friends and acquaintances over those years. DeWayne and Sue loved their black labs. DeWayne loved to train them and they proved to be great hunting dogs but were also very much part of the Dimick family.
Finally retired (with new knees) DeWayne could fully live out his dreams and passion for hunting and fishing. He travelled to Alaska, the Oregon Coast, and throughout Wyoming and Idaho. He shared his adventures with his family, friends and buddies, as well as, his wife who camped, fished, and hunted by his side.
DeWayne is survived by his wife and children; 16 Grandchildren: Heather, James, Damon, Taryn, Taylor, Jared, Eric, Dylan, Dalton, Quinton, Shintell, Destinie, Amanda, Derrek, and Allie; a nephew and niece, Mike and Nichole; and many greatly loved great-grandchildren, cousins, and extended family. DeWayne was predeceased by his father and mother; brother, Dean; Son, Dale; and Grandson, Justin.
He will be remembered by his many friends and his family as Honker, Wiggler, Big D, Papa, Pops, Gramps and most importantly Dad.
