I've kept very busy. Registered for college at the age of 50. Graduated from Westminster college in 1985 summa cum laude.degrees for English, lit. , psychology, & art. Also attended university of Utah for a gerontology degree. Taught at Bonneville middle school until Herb retired & we moved to St. George. Ut. Later we moved to Glendale Az. To be closer to our beautiful Susie. When Herb became ill we returned to Salt Lake, where I'm living now. Thru the years I became a potter & a professional artist & glass jewelry artist. Check out my web site - Connie.artspan.com. I don't sell my paintings but am selling prints. I also teach a watercolor class. I'm well & happy. I enjoy our grandchildren.

School Story

I still remember sharing my clarinet with my brother Roger. It was a terrible instrument that squeeked. I played in a clarinet ensemble & the band & each time my instrument squeeked, Mr. baker yelled at me. My clarinet had no pads which I didn't know about. Mother had purchased it from a neighbor for $15.00. But I managed to live thru it & kept right on playing.
I do remember my cooking class & being in charge of the frosting for the banquet the same evening. I used granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar. Our poor teacher had a melt down. Can't remember how she solved the problem.

Hi dear Dorthea, this web site is very interesting. So many class members are dead. Makes me feel very strange. Glad you registered but so many haven't. They just don't use the computer. I'm surprised that Nola hasn't. I'm glad that we have kept in touch & I'll be calling you soon. Are you going to attend any of the activities? I think of you so much. Nothing like old friends. And I can use that term for us. Connie
