Rancho Bernardo
Barbara went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2022. She was born May 12, 1933 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Darrell and Uldine Dayton. She married the "love of her life", Ralph Silvera, on May 27, 1967. They shared a wonderful relationship of love, loyalty and partnership. They had two daughters, Margo and Linda, and lived in the Bay Area until retiring to Rancho Bernardo in 1991.
Barbara loved her family very much and was very proud of them. She enjoyed playing piano, entertaining (especially setting a beautifully designed table), decorating her home, travel with Ralph, crocheting and helping others. She was a loyal friend and loved to laugh. She was a member of Rancho Bernardo Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon, volunteered as a Greeter on Saturday night services and was a visitor for home bound members of the congregation. She enjoyed the Seekers Bible Study and participated in "Heartstrings", a group of women who knitted and crocheted items for those in need, hospitals, rest homes and overseas.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph; daughters Margo and her husband Chris, Linda and her husband Doug; grandsons Miles and Austin and his wife Samantha and their son, Raylan Jack ; her sister Joanne Fike; niece Toni; nephews Gary, Brian and his wife Kelly; great-nephews Ryan and his family, Jon and his family, Joe, Matt; and great-nieces, Alex, Gabby and Ertha.
