Toya Thomas - Class of 2000

Toya Alice Thomas, 14, was called home to her Heavenly Father on January 17, 1997, in an automobile accident that took the lives of five others. Toya was born June 3, 1982 in Logan. She was the oldest daughter of Wayne and Debra Federico Thomas of Bloomington. Toya was an honor student at Bear Lake High School where she served as the freshman class secretary. She was active in her church and loved to play sports at church and school. Her talents included playing the piano and the flute. Toya had many friends and was a very loving and kind person. She possessed a special spirit and strength that made her a choice individual.

Toya is survived by her parents, two sisters, Tabitha and Tylin, and a brother, Trenidy. She is also survived by grandparents Karel and Nada Jean Thomas of Bloomington and Tino and Etta Federico of Smithfield. She has many aunts, uncles and cousins. Toya will be missed greatly by everyone who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held January 21 in the Paris Stake Center. Burial was in the Bloomington Cemetery.
