Seward Davis - Class of 1916

Word was received in this city Tuesday, March 11, 1930, of the death of Seward Davis at Jerome. where he has made made his home for the past two years. His demise followed an operation for a tumor on the gall bladder. He was 33 years of age and leaves a wife and two small children. Mr. Davis was born in this city and grew to manhood here, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Davis, who are now residents of Pocatello. He was a world war veteran, serving as pharmacist on the vessels taking the soldiers over seas. For the past few years he has been engaged In the drug business at Jerome in connection with his uncle Joe Davis of this city. Seward was a young man of the highest integrity and was universally esteemed by all who knew him. The funeral services were held today, March 13, 1930 In Jerome and interment was there. His uncles, Joe and Guy Davis went down Monday, on hearing of the young man's illness, and yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Dunn and Mrs. Guy Davis left to attend the funeral services, which was in charge of the American Legion, of which the deceased was an active member.
