J. Harold Dunn - Class of 1925

Montpelier people were shocked Monday morning when word was passed that J. Harold Dunn, one of the city's best known young business men, had died rather suddenly during the night. Mr Dunn bad undorgone an operation for appendicitis some tour weeks before, and was believed to be recovering in good shape, when he was stricken. Doctors were summoned immediately, but their efforts were in vain, and he passed away Monday morning.

The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Dunn of this city, and was 28 years of age. He was a native of Bear Lake, and lived all his life In this city and Bennington. He was a member of the Montpelier High School class of 1925, however he did not graduate. He had attended the state university for two years. For some time past he had been in the employ of the Utah Oil Refining company. as it manager of the "Pep" station In Montpelier. He was popular among the business men of the city and numbered friends by the scores throughout this section.

He is survived by his wife and two young children as well as by his parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Merlin and Sherman and Misses Pormelia, Hazel, Virginia and DeOro Dunn. Also many other relatives. Mr Dunn was a member of the Odd Fellows and Moose lodges of this city, and they have charge of funeral services today which will he held in the tabernacle by the First ward authorities.
