Raymond Dimick - Class of 1926

Raymond Evans Dimick, 86, died July 2, 1993, at his home in Montpelier. He was born June 11, 1907, in Wardboro, Id. to Francis Alma and Celia Alice Evans Dimick. He was educated in Montpelier. He was a member of the Montpelier High School class of 1926, however he did not graduate. He married Vivienne Ruth Tueller on Jan. 3, 1945 in Elko, Nv. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 20, 1952.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and had served as a ward clerk for many years. His major employment had been with the Union Pacific Railroad, and he retired from there in 1973. He served with the US Army from 1933 to 1936, and then when World War Two came he enlisted with the Army Air Corps and served from 1941 to 1945.

He is survived by his wife of Montpelier, two sons - David T. Dimick of Englewood, Co., and Neil F. Dimick of Laguna Hills, Ca., nine grandchildren, and one sister,  Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Collipriest of Montpelier. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters - Donald, Kenneth, Ralph, Evelyn, Elaine and Lillian.

Funeral services were held July 6, at 1 p.m. in the Montpelier Stake Center with Bp. Jerry Gundersen conducting. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary
