Jean Talbot (Stoddard) - Class of 1945

Jean Talbot Stoddard, 40, died Monday, November 22, 1965, in a Twin Falls hospital after a short illness. She was born in Lewiston, Utah on October 10, 1925, the daughter of Daniel Stephen and Corilla Egbert Talbot. She moved to Montpelier as a child, where she attended elementary school and graduated from Montpelier high school in 1945. She married Roger Wilson Stoddard on November 4, 1946 in Evanston. They made their home here until 1956, and since that time have resided in McCammon, Shoshone, and now in Dietrich. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as MIA secretary in Dietrich, and as a Primary teacher. Survivors include her husband, and mother, Mrs. Corilla Peterson; five children, Mrs. Chris (Janice) Marquardt of Caldwell and Randy, Barbara, Guy and Karla Stoddard, all of Dietrich; seven brothers, Glenn Talbot and Robert Talbot, both of Montpelier, Oleen Talbot of Fruitland, Sylvan Talbot and Waynard Talbot, both of Nyssa, Oregon; Odis Talbot of Lewiston; and Milford Talbot of Ogden; two sisters, Mrs. Loran Smith of Lewiston and Mrs. Howard Osterlin of Logan.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 1 PM in the Montpelier LDS Fourth Ward Chapel.
