John Henry Eschler was born October 8, 1911 in Montpelier the son of Arnold and Maria Burgen Eschler.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1929.  He married Laverna Elizabeth Johnson June 1, 1946 in Clark, Washington.  He served in the US Army.  He died November 28, 1997 in Hallock, Minnesota and was buried in the Kennedy Cemetery in Kennedy, Minnesota.
