Woodruff (Woodie) Sommers passed away peacefully after reaching his goal of 100 years. He was the youngest of 16 children born to Ernest & Rosetta Sommers in Montpelier Idaho.  He was born February 7, 1910 and died March 18, 2010.

He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1930.

Woodie served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He operated Woodie’s Barber Shop in Sacramento for 72 years.

Woodie served the Lord in many callings as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survived by his wife, Arline, Daughter Kathy (Rick), 4 grandchildren, Josh, Justin(Chanda), Jeremy, Ashley (Sean), 2 great grandsons, Aidan & Bannock.
