Dr. Leslie D. Thiel, 64, of Boise died in a hospital there June 15, 1969.  He was born in Montpelier December 1, 1904, the son of the late A.E. and Iris Gee Thiel.  He graduated from Montpelier High School and the University of Oregon Dental School.  On November 30, 1933 he married Jesse McCoy in Boise.  He practiced dentistry in Cascade, Oregon moving to Boise in 1945 where he was a dentist at the Veteran's Administration Hospital.  Dr. Thiel was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Capital City  Lodge 93, Scottish Rite, El Korah Temple, Boise Lodge 310 and BPO Elks.  He was a veteran of World War II and a major at the time of his retirement from the Army Reserves.  Survivors include his wife and three aunts.  Funeral services were held in Boise.
