Russell Bruce, 52, died suddenly July 10, 1968 of a heart attack at his home in Los Alamitos, California.  He was born October 6, 1915 at Smoot, Wyoming, a son of the late James and Lillian Grimmet Bruce.  He attended schools in Montpelier graduating from Montpelier High School with the class of 1933 where he excelled as an athlete.  For the past 23 years he has resided in southern California and at the time of his death was office manager in charge of a department of an office  and furniture supply company.  He is survived by his widow, a son and a daughter.  Funeral services were held at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Cypress, California.
