Don Falter - Class of 1997

Don Falter, 21, former Pocatello and Montpelier resident returned to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 12, 2000 from injuries sustained in a bomb blast while on a training maneuver while stationed in Oahu, Hawaii where he was serving in the army.  Don was born in Pocatello March 6, 1979 to Tracy and Dorie Sue Jenkins Falter.  His parents divorced and Tracy married Terri.  Don and his brother came to live with their aunt and uncle, Ed and Vicki Jenkins when he was in junior high.  He attended Hawthorne Junior High.  He then moved to Montpelier to live with his sister and brother-in-law and graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1997.  In June of 1997 he joined the US Army.  He was a specialist in combat engineering.  He was the leader of his squadron and was admired and loved by many.  He loved to snow and water ski, body surf, wrestle, track and games of all sorts.  He is survived by two sisters and one brother.  Funeral services were held at the Blackfoot Stake Center.  Interment was in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon.
