Gene Rea - Class of 1982

Gene Michael Rea, 17, died Friday near Bern when his motorcycle collided with a pickup.

He was born Nov.30, 1964, at Casper, Wyo., to Jack Lee and Joyce Ann Kuck Rea. He was a student at Bear Lake High School, where he had been very active in the FFA and was elected as vice-president of the FFA. He was very active in sports, having played football, wrestled on the school team and lifted weights. He was an above average student, a hard worker and a real gentleman.

He is survived by his parents, one brother, Cory, one sister, Kelly, all of Montpelier; a grandfather, Jene Rea, Casper, Wyo.; a grandmother, Maryellen Kuck, Casper, Wyo.; a grandmother, Geniva Finscher, Flippen, Ga.; and a great grandfather, Ambrose Rea, Buffalo, Wyo.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Montpelier Third and Fifth ward chapel. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
