Jeff Wixom - Class of 1982

Jeff Dale Wixom, 47, passed away Jan. 16 at his home in St. Charles. He was born Oct. 6, 1964 in Montpelier to Dale Thomas and Gloria Crossley Wixom.

Jeff worked most of his life in Industrial Construction as an electrician, he had other talents in the construction field but being an electrician was his favorite. Jeff was a very hard worker. He loved challenging tasks. Jeff loved fishing, hunting, with hunting being his most favorite, hiking, snowmobiling. As long as his time could be spent in the mountains thats where he wanted to be. He called it “God’s Country.” Jeff was a very talented artist, he could make art out of anything, he was talented in everything he did.

Jeff truly loved his family and his friends. He loved helping others and would do it no matter what it was or cost. Jeff also had a way with young children. He loved them all very much. His daughters were the light of his life.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Wixom, two daughters, Jalisa and Destiny Wixom, a stepson, James Lucero, his father, Dale Wixom and stepmother, Maxine Wixom, a sister, Debbie Wixom of Yuma, Ariz., three brothers, Gary Wixom (Elisa Parker), Jarrod (Katie) Wixom, Chad Wixom (Sara Shepard), two stepsisters, Julie Poppleton and Terri (Steve Gneiting),  nephews and niece, Justin and Jennifer (Kayden) Beck,  Heather and Jason (Maddison, Brooklyn, Payton) Green, Gage Wixom, Chase Wixom, Alex Mangum, Alex Bennion, Justin and Jodi (Tenzly) Poppleton, Jason and Jenna (Clair) Poppleton, Jamie and Abbi Poppleton.

Funeral Services will be held Jan. 23 at noon at the Montpelier Second Ward Church on North 8th Street. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services.
