Attending schools in Geneva and Montpelier, Idaho, Jeff graduated from Bear Lake High School in 1981. He played clarinet in the high school band and developed a lifelong love of music. As an adult, he sought out opportunities to attend concerts and cultural events.

He was an exceptional son, loving and caring for his mother these last several years.
