Leanore Grosjean Stoddard, 101, passed away in her home in Sacramento, California June 14, 2006.  Leanore was born in Montpelier, Idaho June 17, 1905.  She was the eldest child of Edward and Lottie Grosjean.  She was a graduate of Montpelier High School.  She also attended the University of Idaho in Moscow and Brigham Young University. She taught school in Grace until she met and married Melvin Stoddard in 1931.  Melvin and Leanore had three children.  After Melvin's death in 1945 she returned to Montpelier and taught eighth grade until she moved to Sacramento in 1952.  Leanore continued to teach elementary school and adult education until her retirement.  She is survived by one son, two daughters and six grandchildren.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
