Joseph W. Jensen, 70, of North Platte, Nebraska died March 12, 2002.  He was born August 15, 1931 in Boise to Sterling and Sarah Dayton Jensen.  He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1950.  He enlisted in the US Army in 1950 and served in the Korean War.  He married Donna Mae Nate in the Logan LDS Temple September 10, 1952.  He was discharged from the service in 1953.  He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Montpelier until he transferred to North Platte in 1968.  He was very active in Union activities and worked in the diesel shop as a carman until he retired.  He was an active member of the LDS Church.  He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.  He enjoyed traveling to visit family, attend weddings and graduations.  He is survived by his wife, three sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren.  Funealr services were held at the LDS Church in North Platte.  Burial was in Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
