Elaine Agnes Nelson Howe, 56, a former Montpelier resident was killed Sunday morning when the car driven by her husband and a truck collided in a downtown section of Ogden, Utah July, 1972.  A daughter of Ervin B. and Espie Tremelling Nelson she was born June 20, 1916 in Montpelier.  She attended schools in Montpelier and was a member of the LDS Church.  She married Claude D. Stephens January 14, 1935 and was later divorced.  She married Laurence P. Howe August 15, 1959.  Besides her husband she is survived by three children and eight grandchildren.  Services were held in the Matthews Mortuary Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
