Warren Pendrey - Class of 1920

Warren Scott Pendrey, 68, prominent Montpelier businessman died Monday, April, 1968 at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.  He was born November 24, 1899 in Paris, the third of four children of Daniel William and Lizzie Budge Pendrey. He attended schools in Montpelier and went into the plumbing and heating business for a short while with his older brother, William Pendrey. He was a member of the Montpelier High School class of 1920, however he did not graduate. He also enlisted in World War I. He was engaged in the plumbing, heating and sheet metal business in Bear Lake county for almost 50 years except for the few years he worked in California. In 1939 he constructed the building presently housing Crockett Auto Parts and Playmate shop. In 1964 he built the Three Sisters Motel and was engaged in that business at the time of death. He was a member of the LDS Church and Montpelier Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Pendrey and Verda M. Toomer were married April 30, 1923. He is survived by his widow, three sons and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the Montpelier LDS First Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
