Wendell Guyon - Class of 1925

Wendell S. (Doc) Guyon, 71, died at a Montpelier hospital Monday, March 26 following a lengthy illness.  He was born May 9, 1907 in Montpelier to Edwin F. and Effie M. Burke Guyon.  He married LaJune Mourtsen September 17, 1934 in Paris.  He was a member of the Episcopal Church and lived in Montpelier all of his life.  He worked for the Uniion Pacific Railroad for 43 years.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and a member of the United Transportation Union  He had a great interest in politics and was an active member of and campaigner for the Democratic party where he served as precinct committeeman for several years.  Survivors include his wife, two sons, two daughters and ten grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the First /Fourth Ward Chapel.  Interment was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
