Udell Nate - Class of 1928

Udell Nate, 74, died December 25 in Salt Lake City in his home after a long bout with cancer.  He was born October 21, 1909 in Dingle, Idaho to Mary Gonzella Sawyer and Henry William Nate.  On May 15, 1946 he married Gladys Golder in the Logan LDS Temple.  He was an active member of the LDS Church and served as president of the Montpelier Stake MIA, SundaySchool superintendent and athletic director.  He built many church buildings, homes and businesses in Utah and Idaho.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, basketball and music and loved to care for the ill and elderly and do genealogy work.  Survivors include his wife, one son, two daughters and six grandchildren.  Funeral was held in the Winder 11th Ward in Salt Lake City.  Burial was in the Dingle Cemetery.
