Sherwood Booth - Class of 1955

Sherwood D. Booth, 47, died unexpectedly Sunday at his home in Dingle.  He was born July 8, 1937 at Dingle to Sherman H. and Wanda Dayton Booth.  He attended school both in Dingle and Montpelier.  While growing up he worked for various ranchers in the valley and helped his father handle cattle for the Bear Lake Stockman's Association.  After graduating from high School he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and at the time of his death was employed by Monsanto Company in Soda Springs as a heavy equipment operator.  This year marked his 20th year with Monsanto.  He married Vatia Lainhary April 20, 1962 in Paris and they were later divorced.  He was a member of the LDS Church, an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Survivors include one son and three daughters.  Funeral services were held in the Dingle LDS Chapel.  Burial was in the Dingle Cemetery.
