Elaine Lindsay (Schoper) - Class of 1946

Elaine Lindsay Schoper, 56, died Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona.  She was born January 5, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Rulon B. and Verma Nelson Lindsay.  She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1946 and later the University of Utah with a B.S. degree in dietectics in 1949.  She interned at the University of Minnesota and was affiliated with hospitals in Minneapolis for one year.  She was employed as a dietician at Bannock Memorial Hospital in Pocatello and Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. She married Glenn Whitman Schoper December 26, 1952 in Montpelier.  They made their home in Seattle, Washington where she was employed as dietician at the Children's Orthopedic Hospital.  She returned with her husband to Montpelier in 1960.  They moved to Phoenix in 1981 where she has resided since. She was a member of the American Dietetic Association.  She is survived by her husband and four children.  Funeral services were held at the Montpelier First Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
