Harold Burgoyne - Class of 1935

Harold C. Burgoyne, 70, died May 6, at the University Medical Center in Salt Lake City following an extended illness.  He was born September 23, 1917 in Montpelier to Eugene Olof and Marye "Marie" Cook Burgoyne.  He grew up in Montpelier and later moved to Idaho Falls where he worked as an auto mechanic.  He served for one year in the Korean War and received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal.  He moved to Bountiful, Utah where he married LaDell Brown Rodgers on November 15, 1951.  In April 1961 they moved to Montpelier where he worked at Tapper Chevrolet as a mechanic.  He later purchased and operated the Union 76 service station in Montpelier for 13 years.  From 1976 until his retirement he owned and operated Harold's Auto Service.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.  He was a member of the LDS Church.  He is survived by his wife, six children and thirteen grandchildren.  Funeral services were held in the Montpelier First Ward Chapel.  Burial was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
