Royal Guyon - Class of 1927

Royal Chatterton Guyon, 83, died February 6, 1993 at a Pocatello health care center following an extended illness.  He was born June 15, 1909 at Montpelier a son of Dr. Edwin F. and Efffie M. Burke Guyon. He attended schools in Montpelier and he was a member of the Montpelier High School class of 1927, however he did not graduate. During World War II he served in the US Navy as an electrician aboard a destroyer escort. After the war he lived with his mother in Burbank, California and worked for the City of Los Angeles as an electrician. He started work for Los Angeles in 1950 working on the city's aqueduct water system and later with the power department retiring in 1971 after 21 years of service. After his mother passed away in California he moved to Lava Hot Springs for a short time before coming to Pocatello in 1987. He never married. Survivors include one brother.  Military graveside services were conducted February 13 at the Montpelier Cemetery.
