Verda Rex (Miller) - Class of 1956

Verda Irene Rex Miller, 54, died June 12 after collapsing in the home of her brother, Randy C. Rex at Georgetown.   Verda was born May 27, 1938 in Randolph, the daughter of Donald S. Rex and the late Mabel C. Rex.  She was the oldest of five children, two of whom preceded her in death.  She was married to L. Wood "Ted" Miller on June 2, 1978 in the Ogden Temple.  She lived the first five years of her life in Randolph then in 1943 moved with her parents to Georgetown where she resided until her marriage to Ted.  They lived in Castle Dale, Utah.  She had no children of her own but inherited seven children, four of which were still at home when she married Ted.  She lived a very active life.  She filled a mission for the church, served as ward and stake president of YWMIA and as Relief Society president for five years and Primary teacher for many years and was a school teacher by profession.  Survivors include her husband, seven children which she inherited and twelve grandchildren.  Funeral services were Wednesday, June 17 at the Castle Dale First Ward Chapel.
