Russell Severn, 71, of Nampa died October 23, 1992 at his home of natural causes.  He was born July 9, 1921 in Montpelier a son of Harry and Mae Severn.  He was reared and educated in Montpelier.  After serving in the US Army during World War II he graduated from the University of Idaho becoming a lifelong Vandal fan.  He married Shirley Knox on April 3, 1949 at Emmett.  Following their marriage they made their home in Nampa.  Russell was a certified public accountant and was a founder of the firm, Severn, Ripley, Doorn and Co.  Survivors include his wife,  a daughter and a son.  Memorial services were held October 27 at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
