Rexford Williamson - Class of 1937

Rexford Nephi Williamson, 61, died Thursday at the St. Anthony Community Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born August 13, 1919 at Twin Falls to Claude Rolland and Mercy Truth Arnell Williamson.  He lived most of his life in Montpelier.  He married Maxine Poulsen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 2, 1941.  Mr. Williamson was a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad at the time of his death.  He had been employed there for 40 years.  He was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Elder's Quorum president, Sunday School teacher and member of the Montpelier Third Ward bishopric for six years.  He has lived in Pocatello for the past six years and was a member of the LDS 26th Ward.  He was a member of the Armed Forces during World War II.  Survivors include his wife, two daughters, four sons and 15 grandchildren.  Funeral services were held at the Montpelier LDS Third Ward Chapel.  Interment was in the Montpelier Cemetery.
