Forrest Weaver - Class of 1931 VIEW PROFILE

J. Forrest Weaver, 66, died January 25 in a Boise hospital due to heart failure.  He was born September 13, 1912 in Bennington to Mary Jane Davis Weaver (1868 - 1935) and Peter Wilson Weaver (1858 - 1935).  He was raised there and attended school in Montpelier.  Mr. Weaver married Nellie Mae Hall in Salt Lake City May 29, 1935.  He was a farmer until 1938 when he began attending the San Francisco College of Embalming.  Following graduation he returned to Idaho and Oregon where he served his apprenticeship.  The Weavers built, owned and operated the only mortuary in Wendell, Idaho which opened June 26, 1947.  Weaver was also a salesman for Johns Manville insulation, operated an ambulance service and was a partner in the Magic Valley Manor Nursing Home.  He served as president of both the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce various years.  After 21 years in Wendell the Weavers retired and moved to Boise where Mr. Weaver became a real estate salesman and mortgage broker.  Many of his later years were spent in California.  Survivors include two sons, two daughters and eight grandchildren.  Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 29 followed by entombment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
