In Memory

Florence Bucher (Patterson) - Class of 1936

Deseret Morning News, 12/27/09

Florence Bucher Patterson 12/20/1918~12/24/2009 Florence Bucher Patterson was born in Montpelier, Idaho, the daughter of Otto and Martha Schulz Bucher. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay for awhile and give us a deeper understanding of what is truly important in this life. Our mother was one such person. She touched our souls. We have gained strength from the footprints she has left in our hearts. In this life she has traveled the road best to make the road smoother for those who would follow. She was like a majestic eagle soaring high above the ground touching the lives of 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren with laughter, love, kindness and generosity. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was faithful in all her callings and the Lord blessed her. She is preceded by her husband, Donald Carl Patterson on Feb. 18, 2001 and two sisters, Muriel Palmer and Jane Wilson. Survivors: her daughter, Gayle Patterson and her two sons Robert (Betty) and Phillip (Helma) Patterson and her sister Doris Swanson. Special thanks to Harmony Health Hospice for their wonderful care. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal. We love you Mother, now and forever Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 12 noon in the Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
