Ruth Widmer (Bunn) - Class of 1950

Ruth W. Bunn, 74, of Nampa, ID, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at her Nampa residence. Ruth was born Aug. 20, 1965 at Geneva, ID to George L. and Margaret Widmer. She attended schools in Geneva and Montpelier, ID. Over time, she was employed at Eastman Drug Store, First Security Bank, Transamerica Finance, and was a volunteer for the Idaho Credit Union. Ruth married Todd J. Bunn on June 7, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Boise LDS Temple. The couple lived in Honolulu for three years while Todd served on a submarine during the Korean War. They returned to Montpelier in 1955 and in 1958 they moved to Nampa. 

Ruth enjoyed sports, dancing, crocheting, bowling and summers in Cascade. She is survived by hre husband Todd, two sons, Matt (Terri) and Conn: grandchildren, Brandi Bunn, Lisa (Bryan) Roth, Shane (Melissa) Bunn, one great-granddaughter, and two great-grandsons; sisters, Doris Irving, Fawn (Dean) Phelps, Beth (Vic) Spencer; two brothers, Grant (Colleen) Widmer, Gene Widmer and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Ray, two brothers-in-law, Glenn Irving and William Hayes; a nephew Larry Irving and a grandson, David Lupo. 

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 23, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Fourth Ward, at Nampa, ID. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, ID.
