Pat Koeven (Wuthrich) - Class of 1951

Idaho State Journal, 07/06/02

MONTPELIER, Idaho "All that I am my mother made me." So agreed her loving daughters and devoted husband as Pat Wuthrich departed this life on July 2, 2002, at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born in Montpelier, Idaho, to Sven John Koeven and Phyllis Lyons on October 11, 1932. Pat graduated from Montpelier High School in 1951 and married Carl Wuthrich on August 31, 1952, and moved to San Francisco. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They have worked hand-in-hand, providing for raising their children and grandchildren and helping others.

Pat had health problems throughout her life, but never lost her sense of humor and courage. Her passion has always been her family. She spent her life in many places from Alaska to Oklahoma, bringing many precious souls into the gospel light. She loved her four children, fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed by her husband, family and by all who knew her. Those left behind will carry her loving spirit and will be excited to be reunited with her. There are many who will miss her laughter and joy in this life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Robin, who have welcomed her home. Remaining here in this life and waiting to join her is her lifelong companion, Carl Wuthrich; daughters, Heidi Chandler, Cindy Hoffman and Karen Girard. Her grandchildren are Adam, Amy and Kaeylyn, children of Karen and Butch Girard; Justin, Kristina, Kimberly and Ashley, children of Cindy and Dan Hoffman; Karl and Megan, Lisa and Ben, Bill, Kevin, Hollie, Robert, Nancy, Michael, Tino and Anjelica, children of Heidi and Bill Chandler. Her great-grandchildren are Carson, Haylee and Lydea, children of Karl and Megan Chandler and April, daughter of Lisa and Ben Merritt.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, at 12 noon in the Chubbuck Stake Center, 450 James Avenue, with Bishop Norman Reece conducting. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery that afternoon at approximately 3 p.m.
