Jeanne Hoff (Hottel) - Class of 1962

Jeanne Hoff Hottel, 62, passed away suddenly, Monday, September 11, 2006, at her home in Challis, Idaho. 
She was born December 16, 1943, in Montpelier to Leslie Ray and Doris O. Solum Hoff. She lived most of her life in Georgetown. She attended Georgetown Elementary and Montpelier High School.

She married H. John Hottel February 25, 1961, in Chubbuck, Idaho. She also lived in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Enid, Oklahoma, and Lordsburg, New Mexico.

Jeanne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to crochet and was very generous with what she had made. Her sons and grandchildren have many pretty things made especially for them as well as do her sisters.

Jeanne was a very friendly person and would carry on a conversation with total strangers. She had many Internet friends and was as concerned about them as if she had met them personally 

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 45 years, John, of Challis; two sons, Leslie (Connie) Hottel of Superior, Wyoming, Lanny (Jana) Hottel of Star, Idaho; two sisters, Myrtle (Howard) Johnson, LaRae (Jim) Ahrens, both of Georgetown; a brother-in-law, Howard Smith of Georgetown, Idaho; her sister-in-law, Jean Hoff of Orem, Utah; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Larry Hottel, a sister, Kathleen Smith, and two brothers, Lyndall and Baby Boy Hoff.

Funeral services were held September 15, 2006 at the Georgetown LDS Second Ward. Interment was in the Georgetown Cemetery.
