In Memory

Dennis Wilcox - Class of 1961

Brandon Dennis Wilcox, 68, went forever fishing and hunting on October 11, 2010. He was born September 30, 1942, to Brandon and Mary May Galloway Wilcox. He attended Montpelier High School. He loved everyone he met, everyone loved him. He spent his happiest times fishing, hunting, camping, Dutch oven cooking and boating with his family and friends.

Dennis was an avid bowler and owner of Jolara Lanes. He loved teaching the kids how to bowl; and loved all
his “bowling grandkids.” Dennis had a great sense of humor and willingness to always help others and make
new memories with family and friends.

He was a trusting husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He loved his wife,
children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Dennis met the love of his life, RaeAnn Bentsen. They were married August 10, 1962, for 48 years; to that
union they were blessed with three children (Chuck) Laurie Sims, Dennis Scott (Tammy) Wilcox of
Georgetown, and (Joey) Lisa Weis of Montpelier; 12 grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, many nieces
and nephews that will love and miss him dearly.

He is survived by his wife, RaeAnn; two sisters, (Gale) Dixie Smith of Fishhaven, (Kevin) Linda Mangum of
Georgetown.

He was met on the river banks by his parents, Brandon and Mary May Galloway Wilcox, his two sisters,
Anna May and Ruth Wilcox, his grandson, Michael James Sims and his forever companions, Duke and
Luke.

Dennis touched the lives of all he came in contact with.

We love and miss you so much — Goodbye till we meet again.
