Evelyn Marie Hennings (Hoff) - Class of 1958

Evelyn Marie Hennings Hoff, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs. She was born November 17, 1939, at Martin, South Dakota, the daughter of Elmer and Helen Woehler Hennings.

Evelyn was married to Neil H. Smith February 3, 1956, in Georgetown; they were later divorced. She was
married to Vern Hoff March 30, 1998, in Soda Springs.

She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and crafts. She spent many hours doing yard work and
gardening. She had a great deal of love and patience for teaching her skills to her family and friends. She
worked in many different capacities during her lifetime. She loved her family, children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Vernal Hoff, of Soda Springs; her children, Debbie Young (Doug Dewitt)
of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Mickie (Bob) Sparks of Nounan, Idaho, Dean (Connie) Smith of Hermiston, Ore., and
Michael (Tammie) Smith of Swan Valley, Idaho; also surviving are nine grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren;
four sisters, Darlene (Bob) McKee, Pavillion, Wyo., Shirley (Bill) Richardson, Moses Lake,

Wash., Carol (Paul) Knutti, Montpelier, Idaho, Bonnie (Roger) Garner, Pocatello, Idaho; and two brothers,
Donald (Marie) Hennings, Nounan, Idaho, and Jack Hennings of Pocatello, Idaho; and many nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Delores Black, a brother, Norman Hennings,
and a grandson, Billy Dean Sparks.

Funeral services were conducted on February 14, 2004 at the Georgetown LDS Church, with Bishop Dale Bethers officiating. Burial was in the Georgetown Cemetery.
